At Oxford Bank, we try to make life a little easier for our customers. That's why we offer various types of overdraft protection services.

If you want to opt-out of any overdraft protection service outlined below, please contact your Personal Banker by calling (248) 628-2533,  send the request to 60 S. Washington St, P.O. Box 17, Oxford, MI 48371, OR you can stop in one of our branch locations.

Overdraft Protection

Enjoy automatic Overdraft Protection for your Oxford Bank checking account. This helpful feature protects you against the inconvenience of returned checks and overdraft fees. Our Overdraft Protection service is a revolving line of credit and includes these features:

  • No annual fee
  • No monthly fees
  • Automatic payment from your checking account

Bounce Protection

In addition to Overdraft Protection, Bounce Protection is an overdraft privilege requiring no action on your part. As long as you maintain your account in good standing, we may honor overdrafts* up to the Bounce Protection limit on your account.

*Oxford Bank's normal non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee (see current Fee Schedule) for each transaction will be deducted from your limit. You will receive an overdraft notice in the mail each time an item is overdrawn (check and other debits cashed at teller windows). VISA debit cards, ATM transactions, ACH debit transactions, checks issued to a third party, and all transactions that are currently honored through your account that may cause you to be overdrawn are paid or returned by Oxford Bank. Based on your account history, we may elect to pay or return checks written by you which exceed your balance, as well as any ATM or one-time debit card transactions if you have opted into this service. You may not exceed your Bounce limit. You must bring your account to a positive balance once every 30 days.


ATM and One-Time Debit Card Overdrafts

We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM and one-time debit card transactions unless you ask us to do so. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

We will give you an executed copy to retain for your records that provides information regarding the service.
